Bosch 40719A Micro Edge Wiper Blade - 19"

Wiper Blade
Customer Review: Disappointing
I have one of these on my car and also a 24-inch wiper of the same type. Neither one works well. I bought Bosch because I though it's supposed to be a good brand, but in reality these wipers leave streaks as they go back and forth and just don't work all that much better than the old wipers they replaced. Get something else.

Even if you do not consider yourself an environmentalist, a little fuel conservation can really help not just the environment, but also your wallet! The price of petrol seems to always be on the rise. The best defense against rising gas prices is fuel conservation.

Map out a good plan of fuel conservation by following these helpful ways to conserve fuel:

Great fuel conservation starts before you even hit the road:

Keep your vehicle properly tuned, and it can get from 6 to 20 percent better gas mileage.

Keep your tires aligned and inflated properly. You should check your tire pressure once a month. Having tire pressures that are too low can increase your use of fuel by 3%

Replace your air filter.

If you are not using your roof-racks, take them off! They add to drag. Unnecessary weight in your car can also take away from good gas mileage (this does not mean that you can throw your sister out of the car to conserve fuel although, it would help!)

Another way to start good fuel conservation is to plan ahead. Combine your errands into one trip. Think about riding your bike, walking, riding the bus, or carpooling when possible and reasonable.

Fuel conservation can greatly be improved while you are driving or at the pump:

Slow down! There is a reason why you coast to a gas station when your vehicle is on empty you are not going to get to a gas station faster by driving faster when the faster you drive the more gas you use! In simpler terms, your fuel usage will greatly decrease when you are driving at speeds above 55 mph. Besides, you will have a safer drive when you slow down, too.

Avoid rapid accelerating. In fact, you ought to let up on the accelerator (by driving slower), and when you use the accelerator, use it gently. There is a reason why it is called stepping on the gas. The harder you step on the gas, the faster you use up your gas. Relax your driving style. Do not drive aggressively. Accelerate slowly. Driving aggressively can lessen your fuel conservation by 30-40 percent.

Do not tailgate because it will lead to unnecessary braking and then acceleration.

Do not idle. Modern cars no longer need to warm up to run.

Turn off your car when you are waiting for someone.

Your cruise control will add to your fuel conservation (of course, it is unreasonable to use it while just driving around town.)

Your use of the air conditioner lessens your fuel economy, as well, especially if you use it at 40 mph or more. Why not just open the window to cool off? Park your vehicle in the shade.

Using overdrive will lessen your fuel consumption while on the highway.

Drive at the highest appropriate gear.

While at the gas pump, use the lowest octane petrol suitable for your car check your owners manual.

Fill up your car with gas early in the morning and on cooler days. The colder the gasoline is, the more compact it is you will therefore end up getting more bang for your buck.

This may seem like a long road to fuel conservation, but even just doing a few of these things can really help improve your gas mileage. You could possible improve your fuel conservation by 40% or so by following some of these tips.

If all of these suggestions seem overwhelming, just take a few at a time. The road to great fuel conservation can be a long one. Most all of the tips that we have given as of yet can be found in greater detail at the U.S. Department of Energy.

All of the tips on fuel conservation that we have given you so far have to do with the vehicle that you already have. If you are planning on going out and buying a new vehicle, consider a vehicle that conserves fuel by design.

Check out the hybrids or smaller cars. A hybrid vehicle may cost more at the onset, but you will surely save money in the end, especially if gas prices continue to rise. If you do not need a ton of horsepower, abandon it you will get better gas mileage.

The first step to fuel conservation is education, so congratulations for being interested! You have passed the first step. Now go out there and start conserving fuel!

Many automotive businesses can benefit from labels or decals. Also some business can market their business with automotive decals. There are so many options that you can choose from. They will increase your market or provide return customers. If you need a few ideas, keep reading and you'll see just a few of the many things that can be done with automotive decals. After you have read these ideas you are sure to know what you want to represent your company or organization.

Vinyl Decals

Vinyl decals are a semi-permanent item that are very eye-catching and give a very professional look. These are frequently used by auto dealers to represent where the car was purchased. Many businesses can use this form of advertising. If you want to catch peoples' eye this is a great way to do that. You can even have a logo made into the vinyl, which will help people remember you. Many people remember a logo better then a name, just a little tip.

Bumper Stickers

These are a popular and useful. Some of these are for personal beliefs or funny statements. They are also used by many non-profit organizations use them to get their name out for many to see and remember them. Businesses also use these to create repeat exposure. These can be fun and promotional all in one. You can consider getting these printed in a variety of colors so that customers can chose a color that goes best with the color of their car, plus they will just enjoy having choices.

Oil Change

Auto shops can use window stickers to remind their customers of when they need to return for their next oil change. It is a great idea to place your business name and contact information so they can call if they need to. This will remind them of your business if something else comes up where they can use your services.

Parking Permit

So many people use parking garages everyday now. By using a sort of sticker identification, you can reduce the amount of traffic backup a garage gets. These can be placed on the back of the rear view mirror or on the windshield. You can get them in a different color for every month so the attendant will easily know when the tag has expired and the customer needs to renew. Another good idea would be to place a number representing the year so there is no confusion as to when it was purchased. These can also be used for large apartment complexes that have a lot of tenants. They can indicate paid parking spots, or what area they are to park in.

Window Decals

These have a wide range of use. You can promote a business, a college, a sports team, or pretty much anything you want. These can be simple or more complex; what ever suits your purpose better. These are also used to indicate that a car has a security system, the help prevent car theft.

Introduction

An increasing threat to the automotive industry over the past decade has been the growth in the use of non-genuine parts, known as the grey market. The grey market is the third party market in non-genuine parts, clones of the original manufactured components. Distributors deal with the grey market problem and its growth by trying to find ways of providing incentives to use genuine parts. Many have started to use kits which link together key components to provide a complete solution. These kits offer considerable financial, logistical and quality incentives, as well as improved warranties, to dealers and their customers and so remove the need to look to the grey market for replacement parts. This market is growing rapidly, especially within Asia, and includes counterfeit parts, as well as parts that are not intended to be counterfeit but are simply cheaper replacement parts. ERP software solutions, particularly the supply chain software, inventory correctly managed and configured must be capable of

For the customer, the use of non-genuine parts carries considerable financial risk. Grey market parts are almost universally inferior in quality to genuine parts and although cheaper initially, have to be replaced at more frequent intervals. They usually offer very limited warranty and, as these are individual components, each must carry its own warranty whereas a kit of genuine parts provides a more comprehensive warranty from the manufacturer. Another consideration is that the use of non-genuine parts potentially places all warranty at risk. Many distributors issue warranties under the condition that only genuine or approved parts are used.

In addition, the use of non-genuine parts can potentially affect the life span, or quality of a genuine part, particularly in the case where a non-genuine part is a component of multiple parts. If that non-genuine part endures greater and more rapid wear and tear, the rest of the components will suffer similarly. It requires more service, so in the short term, the cost is lower but in the long term, it actually may be a lot higher. A good example of that are components that endure a lot of wear and tear such as brake pads. Brake pads are a common item and non-genuine pads are known to wear at a greater rate, and therefore need to be replaced much more frequently.

The negative effects of the grey market on the manufacturer and distributor are many and varied. For example, a grey market brake pad may last one quarter as long as a genuine pad, and if the owner is unaware that the replacement is not a genuine part, blame may well be attributed to the manufacturer. For the distributor, the grey market cuts into market share. A major point of contention is when qualified service points use non-genuine parts. A vehicle owner may naturally expect that a qualified service point will provide genuine parts replacement. In fact, many distributors believe that their competition is not so much fellow distributors, but the market in grey spares.

Re-conditioned parts are another problem. It may not be well known amongst vehicle owners, but parts are sometimes removed from damaged or written-off vehicles. Instead of using new genuine parts, re-conditioned parts can be used. The longevity of that part is, therefore, not known, however a vehicle owner will expect that a genuine service will provide genuine parts. Although this is not yet prevalent in Australia due to the cost of importing grey parts, it can be the case in Asia as parts fail earlier than expected, leading to customer dissatisfaction and low regard for customer service. And as the cost of these items decreases and the quality improves, the distributor will find it even more difficult to compete. Kitting therefore becomes an integral and critical competitive strategy to counter the grey market.

Kits

There are two types of kits: Build Kits and Bill of Material (BOM) Kits. A Build Kit is one in which individual parts are pre-assembled before they are ordered and made available as a packaged unit. This type of kit is traditionally developed around a selection of dependent parts that are constantly used. An example in the automotive industry would be a 20,000km service kit, consisting of the relevant parts which are packaged ready for the service centre to use. It eliminates the requirement to determine and then search for individual components to complete the service. A single part number represents multiple parts.

A Build Kit provides an easy ordering process and eliminates the potential errors which are sometimes introduced when ordering individual parts. Furthermore, service centres may not have all of the required parts to perform a service or to replace faulty components. A Build Kit solves this problem.

A BOM Kit is used in situations where a single part number represents many smaller components. In simple terms, this kit expands into all the individual components and is picked and packaged at the time of order. For example, rather than ordering components individually, a single part number would enable all component parts to be ordered at once, eliminating errors and ensuring an easier, more comprehensive, higher quality ordering process.

Benefits of Kitting and Incentives

To solve the problem of non-genuine parts in the heavy vehicle industry many distributors have service kits for every level of service up to 100,000km. It is simple to find the kit for the model, for the service and order accordingly. Rather than have multiple line items in a purchase order, a single line item is sent to the warehouse that is then packaged and sent. A kit gives the dealer confidence that all components required for a particular job are present. In addition to Service Kits, the truck industry has developed the concept of Smash Kits- front-end, rear-end and specific panels Smash Kits. For example, a front-end kit would normally require two headlights, a grille, radiator, hoses and associated parts. This could be an excellent opportunity for BOM Kits. A dealer can simply type the kit required for the particular model, and then pick which components are required

The trucking companies are often the litmus test. Trends are identified, and because the trucking industry is very competitive, opportunities to provide a customer service or cost advantage are extremely important. However, the automotive passenger vehicle industry is now starting to follow the truck industry in using kits.

Some incentives are being offered, for example, a kit provides a financial incentive as opposed to purchasing individual parts. These incentives vary but, for example, a particular service kit may cost $1,000 if each component is purchased individually, but $750 if purchased in kit form. Additionally, if a single component price is reduced in the marketplace, the overall kit price may still be able to balance the overall cost of the kit, thereby maintaining good profit margins.

There is also a positive effect on quality, and on supply and service times. The service dealer can be assured that all the correct parts are available for the service and that he will not have to search for or re-order forgotten components. Instead of keying the 20 or so components for a particular service, a single key is used that incorporates all of the required components. The kit is then handed to the mechanic who has all that is required to provide that service. Quality is maintained because the parts are genuine and carry appropriate warranties. These benefits provide the dealer's customer with a guaranteed level of service, ongoing support, and an increased level of satisfaction. Ultimately this may well lead to repeat and referral business for the dealer. The true incentive for the distributor is in limiting the need to go beyond the available stock and access the grey market.

Forecasting and logistics

Kitting also assists in many aspects of the supply chain, particularly inventory management systems and warehouse management. Once a kit has been assembled and the trend for that type of kit has been analysed correctly, it becomes much easier to determine inventory turnover during a defined period. Business management supply chain software can have an automatic replenishment process once a kit level has fallen below a predetermined stock arrangement.

Kits do, however, require some initial adjustment to forecasting practice. For example, if 50 kits are built, quite often it is incorrectly recorded that 50 items have been moved. However, often there is only a requirement to record demand, particularly the demand on individual components that make up a kit. In the early stages of building kits, demand for each component is critical until the appropriate forecast can be determined. Once the correct balance of the number of kits required has been established the stock arrangements can be easily dealt with. One of the dangers of kits, of course, is that there is no point in building 100 kits if only ten are being turned over monthly. With correct forecasting, it is easier to build kits a month in advance, instead of perhaps 12 months and having considerable stock sitting on shelves with a perception of low turnover.

There is no doubt that kits also provide a better level of business intelligence. Many distributors have noticed some dealers increasing their purchasing based on kits and so they can also then forecast more accurately. Without kits, the ability to maintain stock levels can be difficult as there may not be true visibility as to the use of the individual components. Trends are easier to analyse for each dealer, based on a prediction of when the next service will be due. For example, it becomes possible to predict that vehicles that have just had a 20,000km service will probably require a 30,000km service and the appropriate number of kits at a defined future time. Stock levels can then be maintained and more accurate forecasting is possible. For the distributor benefit is gained through forecasting kits, as well as the individual components that make up those kits.

Many distributors use outside logistics companies, and kits provide a much simpler process for logistics because of the way they account for handling and inventory. A common accounting process is to pay per line item. As a kit will represent a single line item, but include considerably more components, the cost of logistics can be reduced. For example, if a kit consists of three line items, payment will be made on a single line as opposed to three lines, resulting in considerable logistics savings.

Summary

With the growth and availability of third party spares components, suppliers and distributors are looking to creative ways to maintain market share as well as ensure that the quality of spare parts in the automotive market place is not diluted. Spares kits are a practical solution to this threat. Dealers can easily order kits relative to the work to be performed and be assured that all components are in place at a price that is attractive and significantly reduced from individual parts ordering. Suppliers can be assured that genuine parts are being used, so too customers whose satisfaction is guaranteed. Kits enable business intelligence to be increased with a more predictable and consistent spare parts forecasting process and inventory requirements can be minimised and based on real knowledge of customer behaviour. Kits together with your ERP software solution can enable the supply chain itself to be streamlined to meet dealer delivery expectations.

So your check engine light came on and your dreading taking it to the local mechanic to find out what the problem is. While this may be the most convenient method of figuring out the issue, it certainly isn't the most cost effective. Certain garages may charge up to a hundred dollars or more just to inform you of what's going on.

Using a scan tool can save you the trip to the mechanic and for not much more money. Sure you may think that if it happens just once it may not be worth it but think of it as an investment that you can keep with you for years and cars to come.

First you'll want to choose a Scan Tool that fits your needs and specifications. If you have a car that was manufactured from 1996 and after than most likely it will follow the OBD II diagnostic system. The most prominent feature of course is retrieving error codes from the system and matching those codes up with the error description. However, you can also get valuable information concerning your engine like ignition timing, RPM, sensor info (O2, throttle position) and more.

A lot of Scan Tools have the ability to receive software updates too which can add more functionality and compatibility with various vehicles. So instead of paying excessive fees for a mechanic to troubleshoot your check engine light problem try solving it in your own. It's not that difficult and involved and you'll feel good about taking matters into your own hands.

You can browse through a selection of various scan tools here: OBDII Scan Tools and More

Pickup trucks are very useful in moving luggage and other household goods while moving from one house to another. Though originally designed to haul cargo, pickup trucks have become immensely popular for luggage transport also.

There are many companies who rent out pickup trucks, depending on individual requirements. Before deciding which company to hire the pickup truck from, you need to be sure of the services they provide. There are companies that provide self-service moving, which means that instead of paying the mover to come and pack your luggage, you can do the packing and haul the luggage into the truck. This will reduce your expenses; otherwise, you will have to pay the packing and loading charges also.

Pickup truck rental companies also provide accessories such as loading ramps, blankets, and furniture pads, tie-down straps, and a dolly. You can use them to off load your luggage when you reach your destination. The rates are based on the actual distance traveled, space taken by the luggage, and its weight. You do not have to drive the truck, as the company provides a driver.

If you are not fully aware of the rules of the game, you may be hoodwinked into paying more freight charges than you actually need to pay. Since rents are based on the space your luggage occupies, you should see to it that it is accurately measured. Space should be measured on the floor, and not on the roof. Some companies may charge you for 24 cubic feet of space, including the roof, whereas your luggage occupies only 20 feet.

Besides being overcharged due to inaccurate space measurements, you may also be overcharged on the basis of the distance covered to reach your destination. Usually, the rental companies charge you for two ways, to and from the destination, on the plea that they spend fuel on the back journey as well. There are, however, some big companies whose offices may be located near your destination. So, in such cases, they may be charging you for a return journey they are not going to make.

The Ford Mustang, a highly popular muscle and sports car made its debut when the production Mustang was first shown in public inside the Ford Pavilion at the New York World's Fair; that magic date was April 17, 1964. The car was available for sale at Ford dealers that same day.

Initially a 3-speed manual transmission was standard and the Mustang quickly became a pillar of American automotive law sporting dash and styling at an affordable price.

From the early hatchback coupe or convertible through to the V8 Shelby Cobra GT500, Mustangs have progressed through nine generations of improvements. They shared engineering techniques with the Ford Falcon, the smallest model of the fleet and many components from the Falcon were "borrowed" in order to keep costs down.

Mustangs were distinguished by their iconic running horse motif in the grille, (the horse runs in the opposite direction in which horses run at the American horse-tracks.) Side scallops along the flanks and taillights divided into three sections also feature.

The Ford Mustang was so popular in America that it sold 559,451 units in 1965 alone; the car inspired great passion amongst its enthusiasts.

Over the years, the Mustang grew in size and choice of interior colors and styles increased in number. As mentioned the car progressed and updated through nine generations, these being:

1st - 1964 to '66.
2nd - '67 to '68.
3rd - '69 to '70.
4th - '71 to '73.
5th - '74 to '78.
6th - '79 to '93.
7th - '94 to '98.
8th - '99 to '04.
9th - 2005 to Present.

New models were released in each subsequent period and they included the Mustang coupe, SVO, Cobra, Fastback convertible, Mach 1, Grande, the very exclusive Boss 302, Boss 429 and Shelby GT-350.

The Mustang achieved great success on racing tracks across the world; a big motor in a small car lead to the perfect combination for racing.

The history of the Ford Mustang follows a long and very proud tradition as a signature model of the great American automobile company.

Alpine Audio

Your car is one gadget that you need to update every so often lest it breaks down on you when you least expect it. One of the areas that is of interest is the stereo system. If you find that your car stereo system needs regular update, then I suggest that the alpine audio is the answer to your constant problem.

Alpine audio system gives you high performance and efficiency thus customer satisfaction. it is designed in such a way that the sound it produces is of high quality and very clear such that the music is smooth and sweet to your ears.

Like with any other item that you shop for, you should first do window shopping to find out which Alpine audio is best suited for your car. This you can do by visiting one of the Alpine showrooms around. Another option is for you to visit the web site and find the information you need from there.

The Alpine audio is a combination of items that are necessary to make the system good enough. It includes apples ipods, a satellite radio, mp3 and WMA music supporting file systems. These features give you an opportunity to download music from the Internet and this saves you a lot of agony in having to buy many different CDs with the music you want.

Also look for good quality audio. One that comes with a warranty is more preferable because then you can enjoy the benefits of sales after services in case it breaks down within the period of the warranty.

If you're into pocket bikes, there's no better time than now to buy one or more. What use to cost hundreds of $ now costs under $175 new and $50 used on Craig's list, this price drop is thanks to China. Since the mini bike boom China has started producing decent quality bikes for very low prices. Most gas-powered pocket bikes are sold with 2 stroke engines and even 4 stroke ones.

Gas-powered pocket bikes, also known as mini bikes, are miniature sized motorcycles averaging around
47 inches long and 15-18 inches tall. Gas pocket bikes, although small enough to carry under one's arm, are capable of speeds over 50 mph, depending on engine size, horsepower and gear ratios. Horsepower can range from 2.6HP to 12HP in stock models.

Things to look for

*What kind of ride you want (Chopper, Sport, dirt bike, 4 wheel)

*What CC's you want (This determines bike size check out the link below for more info about cc vs. size. Remember this thing is traveling at 30+ mph and low to the ground you want one that is comfortable, to ride and control).
*4 speed or automatic

*2 stroke or 4 stroke

*Available accessories like performance parts

*Gas oil mixer or not

*Electric Starter

*Headlights and Brake lights

*Used or new (these things are easy to fix and parts are cheap) check out the link below for an idea about repairing, modifying and oil gas mixing etc.

One thing to note most websites will tell you the bikes go 47+ for a 4 or 2 stroke but they are not telling you this is only doable with a modification not right out of the box. Also the speedometer on these things don't measure tire rotations they measure engine speed, even though you might hit 30 mph it will say 15 mph. There are a variety of these bikes in the market ranging from under $200 to over $600. The 4 stroke 4 speed make a great learning tool if you plan on getting a real bike later.
This is a extremely fun thing to play with but still it is not a toy if you corner at 50 mph on a mini bike it is like doing over 100 mph on a real bike the laws of physics still apply! Ride safe.

With the rising cost of gas, it is getting less and less affordable to own a car these days. As a result of this increase in cost, car manufacturers have lately been very aggressive in promoting their line of hybrid cars designed to save fuel.

While a hybrid car in general does saves you some money on gas, you may want to bear these points in mind when looking to buy a hybrid car.

1) Hybrid cars generally are more expensive than conventional gas powered cars. The price difference can be as much as $10,000. Hybrid cars are still new to consumers and may take a while before prices drop.

2) The batteries used in a hybrid car is different from a conventional car. The prices are much higher. They are about $2000 more expensive. However, hybrid car batteries have a longer life span as well.

3) The government has a tax deduction for hybrid cars owners. The hybrid car tax deduction varies from year to year but in general, you can save at least a couple of thousand dollars.

4) The cost of maintenance for a hybrid car is also higher. Also it has more complex systems and engine, a normal mechanic may not know how to repair it. In most cases, you need to send back to the hybrid car manufacturer for maintenance and repair and the cost is not cheap.

5) Hybrid cars use special tires that are wore out more easily than conventional cars. These hybrid car tires cost more and need to be replaced around 25,000 miles.

While the above points may seem that buying a hybrid car is more expensive, the fuel savings in itself is definitely worth it in the long run.

Bosch wipers are simply better than other OEM replacements. You get what you pay for...

Texas is a huge state there can be no doubt about it and there is much to see in Texas. And since it takes so long to see it all may I recommend that you go by RV. You need to hit all the major cities such as Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston. In San Antonio they have the famous Riverwalk and in Houston and Austin there are many great restaurants and wonderful places to see. Dallas has really grown up and it is now a huge metropolis.

There are also many museums to see in Texas and I recommend the Confederate Air Force Museum and the Permian Basin Oil Museum. The great state of Texas has all kinds of things to see and they are very RV friendly and they are glad you come to spend your money.

The people in South Texas are some of the nicest people in the world and it is kind of scary because you feel like you're talking to your next-door neighbor. In Corpus Christi they have the big aircraft carrier, which you can actually go inside of and Brownsville Texas has the old United States Marines Museum.

And don't forget West Texas there is a lot of open space on the plains in Texas. In El Paso you'll be surprised at all the fun things to do and the museums there as well. That city has certainly changed. Perhaps you will consider all this in 2006.

Doing auto repairs at home is one of the best ways to keep a car in tiptop shape. Home auto repair is cost-efficient, too, because you can save on professional fees. All it takes to fix your car is a substantial amount of know-how plus a collection of quality tools.

For most people, doing things themselves has its own rewards. The most obvious benefit is that they get to save their hard-earned dollars. When it comes to auto repair, the same mindset applies. It is not surprising why there are many people who still prefer to fix their car in the comfort of their own homes instead of bringing their vehicle in for commercial auto repairs.

Home auto repairs allow car owners the chance to work closely with their own vehicles. They get to tinker around with their cars to identify if it needs tuning up or if a certain part needs replacing. Home auto repairs leave the responsibility in the hands of the car owner. Owners would not have to worry about mechanics mishandling their vehicles or charging them huge fees for simple auto repairs.

If you are planning on repairing your vehicle in the comfort of your own home, do thorough research first. The World Wide Web holds a lot of information regarding auto repair as well as do-it-yourself vehicle maintenance. You will also find a lot of car tips and trivia online.

Bosch Wiper Blade - 04-06 Ford F-150 XL S/Cab 4WD V8 4.6

Bosch Wiper Blade - 04-06 Ford F-150 XL S/Cab 4WD V8 4.6

Do you love your rat rod as much as I love mine? In case you didn't know, a rat rod is a type of custom car or truck that is usually a modified hot rod from the 1930's through the 1960's. The thing with rat rods is that they are not the polished "trailer queens" like lots of the really expensive hot rods you see. They are almost never painted in any more than primer, and usually have mismatched body panels. The more unfinished they look the better they are.

So what is the appeal of a rat rod over a more polished hot rod? Well for starters they are much cheaper. You can actually drive you rat rod and not have to worry about chipping the paint or something. The other great thing about rat rods is that you don't need to be so paranoid about a dent or some scratches or dust. Rat rods have become sort of a counter culture against the established custom car scene. It is almost a form of rebellion to own one.

One problem with owning a rat rod is finding parts for your car. Since all of the components and body panels are very old they can be hard to come by. Sometimes you can find old car bodies in old garages or barns just rusting away. You never know you could even get lucky at a local junk yard. The great thing is that rust is very much appreciated by rat rod enthusiasts. The engine is usually an older flathead V8 cylinder motor. You will also find many rat rods with Hemi engines or straight 8's, V6's, four cylinder, or even diesel motors.

If you would like to start having some serious fun, you should buy or build a rat rod. To find parts for sale or even complete rat rods visit my site ratrodworld.net

Bosch 419A ICON Wiper Blade - 19"

Wiper Blade
Customer Review: Wipe Clean!!
It really wipes clean~ I've upgraded to this product from stock Acura wiper blades and this is so much better.
Customer Review: Work great
Bought these about a month ago and they work very good. Am thinking about buying for my other vehicle.

Sometimes finding the best GPS units can seem like getting a master's degree in engineering. There's so much to know about these devices! And it's all so technical sounding.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) most of us have no interest at all in the technical side of the devices we use. Most people don't really care about what chip a certain GPS unit uses to lock onto the satellite transmissions. They just want to be told how to get to where they want to go!

I think sometimes GPS manufacturers and a lot of informative GPS websites don't understand that we are not interested in how it does what it does, just that it does it efficiently and with style!

But you still need to know what you're buying in order to get the right unit for you and your needs. So, what I'm going to do in this article is attempt to make the purchase of a GPS device a little easier by breaking down what they do and about how much that's going to cost you.

For one thing, although there are numerous manufacturers of GPS units out there, just three companies have almost 90% of the market share. That would be Magellan, Tom Tom, and Garmin.

What's the difference between these companies?

Well, Magellan was one of the industry pioneers. They make a great product. I especially like their Maestro line, which sells from less than $150 to about $350 depending on the features you get. They also have this fabulous deal with AAA, where you get access to their Tour Book right on your GPS device! I'm a AAA fan; so I think this is really cool!

Tom Tom is the new arrival in the market place. Actually Tom Tom is the industry leader in Europe, and they've done well invading the U.S. market, so to speak. They've done this by offering more features at lower prices than either Magellan or Garmin.

Garmin is without doubt the industry leader. They currently have almost 50% of the United States' market. There's surely a reason why. Their name is synonymous with quality, and they make a broad selection of products with an equally broad selection of prices. Garmin essentially owns the upper end of the market. Their amazing nuvi 880 sells for about $900, but it can do everything except maybe pack your luggage for you. (I think that capability is being added next year.)

All of the best GPS units essentially do the same things. They show you where you are and give you voice directions to tell you where you're going. All three of these manufacturers have units that have real-time traffic and weather, Bluetooth for hands-free calling, and other great features. All of them have proprietary features, like Magellan's deal with AAA, and Tom Tom's user updated maps.

Now that you have some idea about how to compare the best GPS units, the best thing for you to do now is to find an informative website where you can look at individual products and check out their prices.

Not long ago I bought a used 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee quite cheap. I was hoping that it will be nice and cool, but it was a real disaster. Still there are some good things in it, first of all it is big and the body is in perfect shape, and also the seating feels comfortable, however as a whole my 1994 Grand Cherokee jeep is awful. Now I am sure that I would have been better off with a sensible Honda Civic or anything of the kind, instead of buying the Jeep that I now consider as the worst ever purchase I've made.

The thing I want to begin with is the monstrous gas consumption of this SUV. I knew it will not be as for a Ford Fiesta, but getting only 13 miles per gallon is a bit too much for me, and it only makes me think about a shot engine. What comes next it the unsafe rolling of this totally unbalanced clumsy Jeep, along with its impossible shocks. With this 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee you are actually putting your life to the risk of turning over with every turn you make at a speed greater than 20 miles per hour. What I can say for sure is that I should not have rushed into that without having a detailed check on SUVs, which would have showed me what the possible and most common problems might be. And the only reason I skipped that part for was the thrilling price they gave me for the car

There are good things to be considered also in the 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is very spacious at the back and offers plenty of room, a plus that makes it a great road trip vehicle. Thinking about storage room no one can deny that it is awesome too, and this once again confirms the statement that this is a road trip machine. What is more, I have a killer sound system in the SUV. It was actually decked out by the previous owner who just left it in the car. This sound system not only delivers great bass, but also keeps unbelievably crisp hi-fi sound in the treble scale. Even having that, though, is not at all enough to compensate for the faults it has, and hen I think about t eventually all the money I saved by getting it cheap will soon be wasted for repairs of the shocks, engine, etc. or even only for gas to get it going

Bosch 4230 Platinum Plug

SPARK PLUG

When a spring is compressed and then released it will oscillate for a period of time before coming to rest. Applied to a vehicle this action will cause a most uncomfortable ride.

The purpose of a shock absorber is to absorb the energy stored in the spring and so reduce the time that the vehicle is bouncing.

Most modern shock absorbers are hydraulic: they dissipate the energy by pumping oil through small orifices.

A shock absorber includes a tubular cylinder filled with fluid and a piston attached to a metal rod. The piston is not solid, but contains two valves through which the shock absorber fluid can travel as the piston moves up or down.

When the wheel hits a bump or drops into a hole, the shock absorber piston moves through fluid. The difficulty of forcing the piston to move through the fluid creates the "damping" action that helps to stop the springs from bouncing.

Typically, one shock absorber is used for each wheel. Shock absorbers are mounted through the center of a coil spring, beside the spring, or in any number of locations. Shock absorber placement and method of attachment depend on suspension design.

In an electronically controlled suspension system, solenoids can position metering needles within shock absorber passages to allow more or less fluid to pass through the plunger and/or other passages. In addition, air pressure can be applied to the fluid within the shock absorber to "pump up", or raise, the height of the vehicle.

Bosch 40928 28-Inch Excel Micro Edge Wiper Blade

Wiper Blade

FICTION - It Takes A Long Time For Marketing To Work. You Have Get Your Name Out There And Build Brand.

Advertising is usually broken into two categories.

1. Branding. This is the stuff that takes a long time to work. This is get your name out there and hope you get some return on your investment years down the road advertising. Branding works only after you have top of mind awareness in a market place. Must dealers don't have the money, patience or time to do this kind of advertising. We don't recommend it for any automotive dealerships or small businesses.

2. Direct response marketing. For you, the only choice is hardcore, retail-oriented, direct-response, lead-generating, low-cost, overnight-results-getting advertising. We teach this kind of advertising to dealers all around the globe.

We call our style of marketing... Gravitational Marketing because it allows a dealer to attract customers who pay more, stay longer and refer repeatedly. It defies the natural laws of the kind of marketing most dealers use because of it ability to pull such huge and rapid response.

Brand building can take years and lots of advertising dollars. The "Golden Arches" didn't build their brand overnight or on a penny budget. It doesn't make sense for you to spend your marketing budget branding your business.

Now you are probably thinking to yourself. If branding takes so long, then how do you get results overnight?

The secret is positioning your ads correctly and uncovering the emotions of your customers. It's about as easy as flipping on your light switch. It's all in the formula. Successful marketing is a recipe.

Is branding bad? Of course not. Branding is great and we want to continue moving in that direction - just not pay for it. It's the paying for it that's bad. It's very counter-productive and is becoming increasingly difficult due to the mass segmentation of the market.

Brandscending is the building of a brand for free. It's the process by which your company carves out a clear and definitive place in the minds of the people who you're trying to reach and at the same time getting them to respond. Brandscending is about building brand and at the same time getting a return on your marketing investment immediately.

So how does brandscending work?

1. You must learn who your potential customers are and what they need most. Offer what they need. This shows you care about them.

2. You must have a unique image. Something that sets you apart from the rest. This image needs to be attached to all of your results marketing. This is how you begin to build your brand.

3. Make your customers experience fun and unique. Make it different. As people talk, your brand value becomes greater and greater.

You can't just spend some money on an empty ad and think you built a little brand equity and got your name out there. It doesn't work like that. People won't sit up and take notice when you have nothing interesting to say.

You Can't Control Word-of-Mouth Advertising

FICTION - Without a doubt this is fiction. Some of the best marketing is word-of-mouth. The best part about it - it's totally free.

Can you control it?

You bet you can. Most people think it's impossible to control but that is nonsense put into our heads by the traditional pay-per-advertise media. It's one of their biggest secrets and they don't want you to find out about it.

It's not easy. We didn't say it would be. But if done right - can pay out huge.

To control word-of-mouth you must be sensational. Sensational dealerships have seven characteristics they all share:

* Fun
* Unique
* Risk Taker
* Interested
* Visible
* Credible
* Spreadable

This type of committed marketing is not for the traditional dealership. You have to flush your mind of the old tactics and open up to this form of advertising and put your money into "smart marketing".

You must rise above the others and stand out to make word-of-mouth advertising work for you. You have to be in a category most are not in. If you are reading this article right now you are probably a good fit for this type of advertising.

Easy - no, but it's not impossible. You must position yourself as the expert in your business. Shine in your industry. People will start to talk about you. As people talk they will begin gravitating toward you and your business wanting to be a part of the excitement. Asking you for advice. Looking for answers to their challenges. Why? Because you are the obvious choice - you are the expert. As you talk to them you form emotional bonds and connections that will last through the years.

When everything comes together you will stand high above the rest and people will talk about you and do business with you.

Bosch Wiper Blade Set - 2000-2005 BMW 325xi Sedan M54

Bosch Wiper Blade Set - 2000-2005 BMW 325xi Sedan M54

The electric car presents a different set of cabling. Unlike the conventional internal combustion engine, the electric car will need more wiring for its operation. This comes from the simple fact that it runs on batteries and the main connection to these devices is cables.

For the reason that it needs so much electric energy, the cabling system of the electric car will have to be more versatile and durable than the ordinary ones.

The cable for the electric car will have to be made from 2/0 cable. For it to work, it must have heavy duty strands. If they are too stiff, they will not work. For power to flow easily and consistently, the strands must be flexible. Many electric car conversion kits use the same type of wiring for welding. It has the ability to bend around corners and will not break easily.

It is essential that you use the right kind of cable for your electric car so you can be assured of power flow all the time.

Many companies are using the much standardized Anderson connector. These are can be specially made for the market. These cables can be easily separated and comes ready for use on the electric car. Ordinary you may have to purchase cables from the market and then modify then for use. Aside time wasting, these cables may not meet the standard required for high energy use. Again, they may not be able to round corners easily. Anderson cables come in plastic cases and cannot separate from each other to cause any a problem with polarity.

I hope you found the article informative. Are you interested in converting your car to electric? For more information about how to convert car to electric, visit gas2electric for more information about the Gas2Electric conversion guide. Finally, build an electric car and never buy gas again!

Wiper Blade Insert - 1970-1971 BMW 2800CS

Wiper Blade Insert - 1970-1971 BMW 2800CS

There's a good chance that at some point you're going to have to apply for an automotive loan, also known as a car loan. Auto financing has grown into one of the largest loan industries in the world today.

With the cost of new cars and trucks on the market today, it's perfectly understandable why a person would likely need to finance their new vehicle. Of course, depending upon your credit score and the car or truck that you want to buy you might find it a bit difficult to find the automotive loan that you want with an interest rate that you can afford.

With a little bit of careful shopping and comparing of interest rates and loan terms it should be very easy to determine which automotive loan is right for you. Below you'll find some basic tips to assist you in your search for a car loan.

Determine how much you can afford

The first thing that you should do when looking for a new car or truck is to determine exactly how much you can afford to spend, and how much you'll need to borrow. The initial down payment that you make will affect both your interest rate and monthly payment, so you should put forth as much of an initial payment as you can.

After you've decided exactly how much you can afford to spend on your initial down payment, you should also figure out how much you can afford to spend on your monthly payments. If you might be cutting it close to not having enough money for a certain monthly payment, it would be best to cut back on the amount you think you can afford so as not to cause any financial problems down the line.

Choosing the right car or truck

Once you've started looking for your car or truck, there are a few things that you should be on the lookout for so as to avoid problems with your financing later.

If you're going to apply for automotive financing, you should look at the new and used cars and trucks that are for sale from automotive dealers... lenders are much more likely to grant you a loan for a car or truck that's purchased from a dealer than from an individual because of the assurances that a dealer can provide that the transaction is legal and legitimate. In addition, automotive dealers carry a much larger selection than most individuals would have access to.

Shopping for the best car loans

When you've found a car or truck that's in good shape and is priced so that you can afford the payments, it's time to start shopping for your loan. So as to find the best interest rate for your loan, it's important to consider all of your options when looking for a lender... visit your local banks, finance companies, and even some online lenders so as to compare the interest rates that each offers.

Get quotes for both interest rates and loan terms, since some lenders may offer better repayment terms than others, and compare them individually in order to find your best deal.

Once you've found your best loan offer with the best interest rate, go ahead and submit your application for financing... make sure that you keep your next best offer on hand, though, just in case there is some problem with the lender or the dealership and you aren't able to get the first loan that you apply for.

Bill Stone writes for Direct Online Loans who help homeowners find the best available loans via the http://www.directonlineloans.co.uk website.

Bosch Wiper Blade - 79-83 Ford Mustang L4 2.3

Bosch Wiper Blade - 79-83 Ford Mustang L4 2.3

Leaping into production in 1958, the Donald Healey Sprite was a low cost sports car which used existing BMC parts to ensure over heads of the cars productions remained low. The Austin Healey Sprite would prove to be a big success.

The commonly named "Austin Frogeye", the Mark I Sprite, was a massive success in its three years of production, with no other car competing on price or performance. As its widely used nick name suggests, the distinctive look of the Mark I Sprite owed itself to the round headlamps on the bonnet of the car, nicked named "frog-eye" headlamps. Cheap and easy to maintain, the wings and bonnet was a one piece unit which opened up to allow easy and large access to the engine. The Mark I used the 948cc Austin A-Series engine which was tuneable and capable of 43bhp, the A35 gearbox and axels, and the twin SU carburettors. Equipped with leaf spring suspension to the front, and wishbone suspension to the rear, the Mark I got it suspension from earlier models such as the A35 and Moris Minor.

The Mark II saw some cosmetic changes including the famous headlamps being moved on to the wings, a change of rear bumper, and the introduction of front disc brakes. The Mark II was also equipped with a new larger engine from the Morris Minor 1000 and Morris Minor 1100, increasing the engine size to 1098cc.

A less performance geared Mark III Sprite was more fined with lockable doors, wind up windows, and quarter lights. With the rebadging of the Sprite by BMC to the Midget, the Sprite Mark III was also sold as the MG Midget Mark II.

The Mark IV had two main difference, with an increased capacity to 1275cc and a convertible roof instead of the removable roofs from the earlier variations.

The production of this classic car ended in 1971. Today many of this classic cars are known as "Spridgets" with the classic car enthusiasts community due to the Austin Healey Sprite and the MG Midgets sharing the same design and parts. This makes finding parts relatively easy due to the parts being interchangeable.

Bosch Wiper Blade - 00-03 Dodge Dakota Sprt Crew 2WD V6 3.9

Middle class and upper class citizens are suffering on the constant increase of energy cost because transportation is one among the primary needs of everyone today. Citizens that belong to the middle class are complaining on the unending increase of fare and transportation fees, while the ones that belong to the upper class society or what we call "rich" ones also find difficulty in managing their daily expenses for gasoline and vehicle oil. These concerns are already been addressed by the government today by developing and offering various types of alternative automotive fuel.

Alternative automotive fuel comes in different forms such as biodiesel fuel and hydrogen. Biodiesel is the first fuel alternative that has been developed but it is not given enough attention because of its high production cost and difficult production process. It is made from soy bean products and other vegetable oil that's why it usually got some particles to be totally filtered or separated. The next one which is hydrogen fuel is well known today because of its abundant supply and powerful capacity to power up a vehicle. Hydrogen or water has lightweight elements and high power potentials that are possible to word with vehicle's and other modern technologies. Hydrogen is available all around the globe, and being an alternative automotive fuel, many people are expecting financial relief and saving.

For your vehicle to be able to use this alternative automotive fuel, your vehicle needs to undergo parts replacement, calibration and conversion so that its mechanism would be properly oriented to adopt the use of hydrogen. Hydrogen as replacement to fossil fuels is proven safe and powerful because it elemental compounds that has the capacity to put a vehicle on efficient running condition while producing clean and environmental friendly emission. The patronization of this as alternative fuel today could lead to a better economy and better living standards throughout the country of every citizen at any level of the society.

Side effects or counter effects are to be disregarded when your vehicle is properly converted and supplied with clean and pure hydrogen. It will run fast with its original capacity and during the process only transparent, odorless and clean emissions will be released. If you are thinking about shifting to the use of this alternative automotive fuel, all you have to do is to rush up to the automotive repair shops near in your area because they are surely aware of this. The development of hydrogen as fuel alternative has been well disseminated for its wide use immediate positive effects to our economy. It is expected to save consumer's gas expenses, lower the cost of foreign oils, increase the country's resources development and upbringing good and stable economy status.

Bosch Wiper Blade - 04-06 Chrysler Pacifica FWD V6 3.5

Bosch Wiper Blade - 04-06 Chrysler Pacifica FWD V6 3.5

You can easily get a free auto repair manual for whichever repair need you might have. You need an internet access and have to follow a certain procedure searching for auto repair manuals, but when you have done this procedure a few times it will be very easy to find the right instructions for do it yourself auto repair and it won't cost you a dime.

There are four types of automotive description documents that you will need to choose from when you want to do a repair;

  • General manuals
  • Diagnosis descriptions
  • Repair manuals
  • Maintenance manuals

General Manuals

In addition to some general manuals, most of these are related to the make. Here you can get step by step guidance on how to repair most of the makes in the vehicle market. Let's say you have a Honda Acura 2002 model and you want to find a manual for that make and model. What you do is perform the following search in a search engine: "free car manuals+Honda Acura+2002". Then you will have a long list of sites that provide you with all kinds of descriptions for your Honda Acure 2002 model, and you can choose what you want.

Diagnosis descriptions

Automotive diagnosis manuals can also be sub-divided by make and model. But it can also be divided by the area of the vehicle that is affected, for example engine intake problems, brake problems, cooling problems, exhaust problems, start or stall problems, transmission problems etc. Let's say you have a start problem. Your search would be "car diagnosis manual+ start problem", then you should get more than enough repair information to choose from. You can even get diagnostic trees where all options are covered for nothing.

You have probably more than one time heard some annoying noise from somewhere in your vehicle, without finding the source of it. This is one of the most kinky situations to run into because you don't know if it is a serious signal or just a small thing. Some websites gives you the opportunity to diagnose vehicle problems by the noise, sound and vibrating signals - and that is great. The sooner you find it the sooner you can fix it and then you can relax. When you search, you can describe the sound, for example "whine noise" or "shifter knocks" or "driveline vibration" plus car diagnosis manual plus eventually the make.

Repair Manuals

In addition to regular manuals you can also get very instructive and detailed descriptions in other internet document or websites like articles, etc. The natural way to sub-divide such repairs before searching, is by the area of the vehicle that is going to be repaired, for instance body repair, exhaust repair, suspension fix, interior repair and even general car repair.

You do the search the same way as above; "car repair manual (or description) + the area of repair and go through the list of resources you get.

Maintenance manuals

Though vehicle maintenance is closely related to your vehicle make and model, there are some maintenance issues that are pretty much common whether you have a Cadillac, VW or a Mercedes, for example changing oil, changing air filters, engine wash, fluid maintenance, tier maintenance etc. You can get access to maintenance descriptions by searching for the kind of maintenance plus "car maintenance manual (or description)" plus eventually your make and model.

I think you'll be amazed of the amount of automotive repair free stuff online.
