Bosch Wiper Blade - 1980-1982 Toyota Corolla 4Dr Wagon 3TC

Bosch Wiper Blade - 1980-1982 Toyota Corolla 4Dr Wagon 3TC

Introduction

An increasing threat to the automotive industry over the past decade has been the growth in the use of non-genuine parts, known as the grey market. The grey market is the third party market in non-genuine parts, clones of the original manufactured components. Distributors deal with the grey market problem and its growth by trying to find ways of providing incentives to use genuine parts. Many have started to use kits which link together key components to provide a complete solution. These kits offer considerable financial, logistical and quality incentives, as well as improved warranties, to dealers and their customers and so remove the need to look to the grey market for replacement parts. This market is growing rapidly, especially within Asia, and includes counterfeit parts, as well as parts that are not intended to be counterfeit but are simply cheaper replacement parts. ERP software solutions, particularly the supply chain software, inventory correctly managed and configured must be capable of

For the customer, the use of non-genuine parts carries considerable financial risk. Grey market parts are almost universally inferior in quality to genuine parts and although cheaper initially, have to be replaced at more frequent intervals. They usually offer very limited warranty and, as these are individual components, each must carry its own warranty whereas a kit of genuine parts provides a more comprehensive warranty from the manufacturer. Another consideration is that the use of non-genuine parts potentially places all warranty at risk. Many distributors issue warranties under the condition that only genuine or approved parts are used.

In addition, the use of non-genuine parts can potentially affect the life span, or quality of a genuine part, particularly in the case where a non-genuine part is a component of multiple parts. If that non-genuine part endures greater and more rapid wear and tear, the rest of the components will suffer similarly. It requires more service, so in the short term, the cost is lower but in the long term, it actually may be a lot higher. A good example of that are components that endure a lot of wear and tear such as brake pads. Brake pads are a common item and non-genuine pads are known to wear at a greater rate, and therefore need to be replaced much more frequently.

The negative effects of the grey market on the manufacturer and distributor are many and varied. For example, a grey market brake pad may last one quarter as long as a genuine pad, and if the owner is unaware that the replacement is not a genuine part, blame may well be attributed to the manufacturer. For the distributor, the grey market cuts into market share. A major point of contention is when qualified service points use non-genuine parts. A vehicle owner may naturally expect that a qualified service point will provide genuine parts replacement. In fact, many distributors believe that their competition is not so much fellow distributors, but the market in grey spares.

Re-conditioned parts are another problem. It may not be well known amongst vehicle owners, but parts are sometimes removed from damaged or written-off vehicles. Instead of using new genuine parts, re-conditioned parts can be used. The longevity of that part is, therefore, not known, however a vehicle owner will expect that a genuine service will provide genuine parts. Although this is not yet prevalent in Australia due to the cost of importing grey parts, it can be the case in Asia as parts fail earlier than expected, leading to customer dissatisfaction and low regard for customer service. And as the cost of these items decreases and the quality improves, the distributor will find it even more difficult to compete. Kitting therefore becomes an integral and critical competitive strategy to counter the grey market.

Kits

There are two types of kits: Build Kits and Bill of Material (BOM) Kits. A Build Kit is one in which individual parts are pre-assembled before they are ordered and made available as a packaged unit. This type of kit is traditionally developed around a selection of dependent parts that are constantly used. An example in the automotive industry would be a 20,000km service kit, consisting of the relevant parts which are packaged ready for the service centre to use. It eliminates the requirement to determine and then search for individual components to complete the service. A single part number represents multiple parts.

A Build Kit provides an easy ordering process and eliminates the potential errors which are sometimes introduced when ordering individual parts. Furthermore, service centres may not have all of the required parts to perform a service or to replace faulty components. A Build Kit solves this problem.

A BOM Kit is used in situations where a single part number represents many smaller components. In simple terms, this kit expands into all the individual components and is picked and packaged at the time of order. For example, rather than ordering components individually, a single part number would enable all component parts to be ordered at once, eliminating errors and ensuring an easier, more comprehensive, higher quality ordering process.

Benefits of Kitting and Incentives

To solve the problem of non-genuine parts in the heavy vehicle industry many distributors have service kits for every level of service up to 100,000km. It is simple to find the kit for the model, for the service and order accordingly. Rather than have multiple line items in a purchase order, a single line item is sent to the warehouse that is then packaged and sent. A kit gives the dealer confidence that all components required for a particular job are present. In addition to Service Kits, the truck industry has developed the concept of Smash Kits- front-end, rear-end and specific panels Smash Kits. For example, a front-end kit would normally require two headlights, a grille, radiator, hoses and associated parts. This could be an excellent opportunity for BOM Kits. A dealer can simply type the kit required for the particular model, and then pick which components are required

The trucking companies are often the litmus test. Trends are identified, and because the trucking industry is very competitive, opportunities to provide a customer service or cost advantage are extremely important. However, the automotive passenger vehicle industry is now starting to follow the truck industry in using kits.

Some incentives are being offered, for example, a kit provides a financial incentive as opposed to purchasing individual parts. These incentives vary but, for example, a particular service kit may cost $1,000 if each component is purchased individually, but $750 if purchased in kit form. Additionally, if a single component price is reduced in the marketplace, the overall kit price may still be able to balance the overall cost of the kit, thereby maintaining good profit margins.

There is also a positive effect on quality, and on supply and service times. The service dealer can be assured that all the correct parts are available for the service and that he will not have to search for or re-order forgotten components. Instead of keying the 20 or so components for a particular service, a single key is used that incorporates all of the required components. The kit is then handed to the mechanic who has all that is required to provide that service. Quality is maintained because the parts are genuine and carry appropriate warranties. These benefits provide the dealer's customer with a guaranteed level of service, ongoing support, and an increased level of satisfaction. Ultimately this may well lead to repeat and referral business for the dealer. The true incentive for the distributor is in limiting the need to go beyond the available stock and access the grey market.

Forecasting and logistics

Kitting also assists in many aspects of the supply chain, particularly inventory management systems and warehouse management. Once a kit has been assembled and the trend for that type of kit has been analysed correctly, it becomes much easier to determine inventory turnover during a defined period. Business management supply chain software can have an automatic replenishment process once a kit level has fallen below a predetermined stock arrangement.

Kits do, however, require some initial adjustment to forecasting practice. For example, if 50 kits are built, quite often it is incorrectly recorded that 50 items have been moved. However, often there is only a requirement to record demand, particularly the demand on individual components that make up a kit. In the early stages of building kits, demand for each component is critical until the appropriate forecast can be determined. Once the correct balance of the number of kits required has been established the stock arrangements can be easily dealt with. One of the dangers of kits, of course, is that there is no point in building 100 kits if only ten are being turned over monthly. With correct forecasting, it is easier to build kits a month in advance, instead of perhaps 12 months and having considerable stock sitting on shelves with a perception of low turnover.

There is no doubt that kits also provide a better level of business intelligence. Many distributors have noticed some dealers increasing their purchasing based on kits and so they can also then forecast more accurately. Without kits, the ability to maintain stock levels can be difficult as there may not be true visibility as to the use of the individual components. Trends are easier to analyse for each dealer, based on a prediction of when the next service will be due. For example, it becomes possible to predict that vehicles that have just had a 20,000km service will probably require a 30,000km service and the appropriate number of kits at a defined future time. Stock levels can then be maintained and more accurate forecasting is possible. For the distributor benefit is gained through forecasting kits, as well as the individual components that make up those kits.

Many distributors use outside logistics companies, and kits provide a much simpler process for logistics because of the way they account for handling and inventory. A common accounting process is to pay per line item. As a kit will represent a single line item, but include considerably more components, the cost of logistics can be reduced. For example, if a kit consists of three line items, payment will be made on a single line as opposed to three lines, resulting in considerable logistics savings.

Summary

With the growth and availability of third party spares components, suppliers and distributors are looking to creative ways to maintain market share as well as ensure that the quality of spare parts in the automotive market place is not diluted. Spares kits are a practical solution to this threat. Dealers can easily order kits relative to the work to be performed and be assured that all components are in place at a price that is attractive and significantly reduced from individual parts ordering. Suppliers can be assured that genuine parts are being used, so too customers whose satisfaction is guaranteed. Kits enable business intelligence to be increased with a more predictable and consistent spare parts forecasting process and inventory requirements can be minimised and based on real knowledge of customer behaviour. Kits together with your ERP software solution can enable the supply chain itself to be streamlined to meet dealer delivery expectations.

Customer Review: Wipe Clean!!

Customer Review: Work great
Bought these about a month ago and they work very good. Am thinking about buying for my other vehicle.

When a spring is compressed and then released it will oscillate for a period of time before coming to rest. Applied to a vehicle this action will cause a most uncomfortable ride.

The purpose of a shock absorber is to absorb the energy stored in the spring and so reduce the time that the vehicle is bouncing.

Most modern shock absorbers are hydraulic: they dissipate the energy by pumping oil through small orifices.

A shock absorber includes a tubular cylinder filled with fluid and a piston attached to a metal rod. The piston is not solid, but contains two valves through which the shock absorber fluid can travel as the piston moves up or down.

When the wheel hits a bump or drops into a hole, the shock absorber piston moves through fluid. The difficulty of forcing the piston to move through the fluid creates the "damping" action that helps to stop the springs from bouncing.

Typically, one shock absorber is used for each wheel. Shock absorbers are mounted through the center of a coil spring, beside the spring, or in any number of locations. Shock absorber placement and method of attachment depend on suspension design.

In an electronically controlled suspension system, solenoids can position metering needles within shock absorber passages to allow more or less fluid to pass through the plunger and/or other passages. In addition, air pressure can be applied to the fluid within the shock absorber to "pump up", or raise, the height of the vehicle.

WINDOW WIPER FOR TC9346A, 120VAC, 60Hz, REQUIRES BLOWER.

Folding Tonneau covers are available for pickup trucks of all makes and models. There are many different types of folding Tonneau covers. They can be made of aluminum or vinyl with steel beams. The more panels a folding Tonneau cover has, the smaller the space it can fold into for storage. Most covers fold from back to front, but some models have the panels going in the opposite direction, allowing access to the truck bed from the sides. Most folding Tonneau covers cost between cost between $400 and $700.

Both aluminum and vinyl folding Tonneau covers are attached to the truck bed by stainless steel rods. Most of these rods require minor drilling along the ridges of the bed, but many snap into the bed. Once, installed, they securely hold the cover over the bed. Most folding Tonneau covers have locks over the tailgate that lock both the cover and the tailgate, making theft very difficult. Folding covers made from either type of material are lightweight and easy to operate. Each individual panel weighs only a few pounds.

Covers with more panels fold to be smaller, giving more access to the bed. Most covers can be removed so that the entire bed is open, but it is also useful to be able to leave the cover on and still get inside the bed. Many folding Tonneau covers can be folded so that they rest on one panel right behind the cab of the truck when not in use, and have between two and four panels.

Most folding Tonneau covers fold from front to back, allowing more access to the bed as more panels are rolled back. Some models have the hinges in the middle, allowing users to gain access to the sides of the bed opening up from the middle. These types of covers usually have two panels.

Folding Tonneau covers are perfect for truck owners who need quick and easy access to their truck beds but also want the security of a Tonneau cover.

If you have an ambition of making it big in the automotive industry, you have to plan yourself for success and hard work. However, if you have ambitions more than just been a lube mechanic or a tire mechanic, get education from a good automotive repair or automobile training school.

A degree from a good automobile repair school helps to know the trade, makes you more comfortable with the norms and technicalities in the automobile field. It also gives higher-level openings such as master mechanic or mechanic positions depending on your experience.

Ways to choose a Good Automotive School:

Mentioned below are some ways that may help you in choosing a good automobile repair school:

1. School Reputation: You need to find out the reputation of a school. This factor is important, as it will have a good impression on your curriculum vitae (CV). There may be several reasons for a good reputation of an automobile school. Generally the most common reason for having a good reputation is graduates from that particular school have performed exceptionally well in the automobile field. You may even cut short your list of schools whose reputation is not known or questionable.

2. Degree Program: Mostly all schools offer an associate's degree to help you start in the auto industry. These degrees are short time courses, which on completion allow you to join the respective field as soon as possible. Many schools also provide a master's degree to help ambitious people to attain positions that are more respectful. Do a good research on the degree program you want to join and check that the program teaches all the skills and techniques required in the field. You also need to ensure if the school provides an ASE (Automotive Standards of Excellence) certification or not. It is extremely important as it allows the company to know your skills in a particular area. Also, see if the school is offering internship or employment opportunities.

3. Resources Offered: You need to check for what resources the students get from the school. Generally, all automobile schools offer various resources to their students. Please check if the school is offering job placement assistance. Make sure that the school has a good program for graduates or students who are searching for a job. The school also needs to have programs like creating good CV, providing job listings and teaching interview skills.

4. Cost of the program: This is also an important factor while choosing an automobile school. A good school needs to be affordable too. You need to carry out a research on the cost of the program and need to know what all features are included in the cost. For instance, some schools provide everything in the listed price, while some schools may provide only the course for the listed amount leaving the books, tools and other necessary things required for the program. These need to be bought separately.

These are some ways to choose a good automotive repair school. Do thorough research and choose an automobile training school, which will give a boost to your auto career.

Safety is important in snowmobile riding, as is with any other motor sport. One of the biggest safety measures that people can undertake is to purchase snowmobile helmets. As with all safety gear, one shouldn't compromise but buy the best there is that is within their means.

There are different helmets for the different things that you do. For example, a professional racer might get a helmet that is sturdier than one gotten by someone who uses their snowmobile to go to the store. The internet provides us with lists of dealers who carry these snowmobile helmets. They also recommend different kinds of helmets to suit different needs.

These sites also give us an idea of what's available in the market. For items such as these, the internet is best used as a guide. When you're ready to buy a helmet, its advisable to walk into a store, so you can be able to fit one. The best helmet should fit snugly without being to tight on you. When you try it on, keep it on for a few minutes so you can get a feel for it. Also seek the advice of the personnel in the store. They will measure your head so that they get you the best fitting helmet.

You should also ensure the lining of snowmobile helmets are comfortable, and won't cause you itching when you wear it. Also pick a helmet with a visor that will protect your eyes from UV rays. You can pick one that has yellow reflective lenses to cut down on the reflection. Remember that a helmet is the buffer between you and serious injury. Spend what you have to, to get the best protection.

ICON WIPER BLADES
Customer Review: Ooooh! I'm loving them!
I'll have to let you know how these hold up after a year... but for now, I'm loving these wipers. So smooth, so quiet, hugs tight and doesn't miss a spot. Wow, what a difference from the cheapos that were on my car when I bought it. There's no turning back now, I'll always have to buy top-notch wipers after this! Very easy to install, as well -- and I'm a newbie at this kind of thing (pumping gas was the extent of my mechanical know-how). The Bosch ICON wiper blades are streamlined, too... a nice change from the overly engineered look. I'm thinking my PT Cruiser is feeling pretty sexy tonight.
Customer Review: Bosch Icon
Nice design, sheds ice well, no chatter, but the outside tip on the passenger side does not hug the windshield as well as I've see on other brands. Time and wear will tell whether these wipers are worth the premium price.

Texas is a huge state there can be no doubt about it and there is much to see in Texas. And since it takes so long to see it all may I recommend that you go by RV. You need to hit all the major cities such as Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston. In San Antonio they have the famous Riverwalk and in Houston and Austin there are many great restaurants and wonderful places to see. Dallas has really grown up and it is now a huge metropolis.

There are also many museums to see in Texas and I recommend the Confederate Air Force Museum and the Permian Basin Oil Museum. The great state of Texas has all kinds of things to see and they are very RV friendly and they are glad you come to spend your money.

The people in South Texas are some of the nicest people in the world and it is kind of scary because you feel like you're talking to your next-door neighbor. In Corpus Christi they have the big aircraft carrier, which you can actually go inside of and Brownsville Texas has the old United States Marines Museum.

And don't forget West Texas there is a lot of open space on the plains in Texas. In El Paso you'll be surprised at all the fun things to do and the museums there as well. That city has certainly changed. Perhaps you will consider all this in 2006.

Bosch Wiper Blade - 05-05 Ford Esc No Bound's 4WD V6 3.0

The Ford Mustang, a highly popular muscle and sports car made its debut when the production Mustang was first shown in public inside the Ford Pavilion at the New York World's Fair; that magic date was April 17, 1964. The car was available for sale at Ford dealers that same day.

Initially a 3-speed manual transmission was standard and the Mustang quickly became a pillar of American automotive law sporting dash and styling at an affordable price.

From the early hatchback coupe or convertible through to the V8 Shelby Cobra GT500, Mustangs have progressed through nine generations of improvements. They shared engineering techniques with the Ford Falcon, the smallest model of the fleet and many components from the Falcon were "borrowed" in order to keep costs down.

Mustangs were distinguished by their iconic running horse motif in the grille, (the horse runs in the opposite direction in which horses run at the American horse-tracks.) Side scallops along the flanks and taillights divided into three sections also feature.

The Ford Mustang was so popular in America that it sold 559,451 units in 1965 alone; the car inspired great passion amongst its enthusiasts.

Over the years, the Mustang grew in size and choice of interior colors and styles increased in number. As mentioned the car progressed and updated through nine generations, these being:

1st - 1964 to '66.
2nd - '67 to '68.
3rd - '69 to '70.
4th - '71 to '73.
5th - '74 to '78.
6th - '79 to '93.
7th - '94 to '98.
8th - '99 to '04.
9th - 2005 to Present.

New models were released in each subsequent period and they included the Mustang coupe, SVO, Cobra, Fastback convertible, Mach 1, Grande, the very exclusive Boss 302, Boss 429 and Shelby GT-350.

The Mustang achieved great success on racing tracks across the world; a big motor in a small car lead to the perfect combination for racing.

The history of the Ford Mustang follows a long and very proud tradition as a signature model of the great American automobile company.

Every time you drive of after starting your car will determine how much you will spend and save on your gasoline bills. It also dictates how deep you need to reach into your pockets. Your driving style will ascertain many things; this includes car repairs, your brakes and wasted gasoline.

As much as you dread the increasing price of gasoline, let your foot on the accelerator feel the same. Your driving style will highly depend on your fuel consumption.

Use correct tires, some tires offer ultimate rolling resistance, choose those. It tends to be quieter on the road as well. Inflating your tires a bit higher that usual will limit road drag caused by tires. If you run on higher inflated tires, your tires run on optimum road contact. On the opposite, have you seen the shape of tires that are under inflated? Its side walls appear to be touching the road. This causes drag.

How you drive of from a standing stop will also determine your gasoline consumption. Accelerating slowly from green lights and moving to a higher gear as fast as possible will save certain amount of gas. Cruise to a stop. Never accelerate and brake at the very last minute. 'Read' the road conditions and anticipate what will happen in the next few seconds. If you see traffic slowing down in front, lift your foot of the pedal and allow your car to cruise.

I do agree that certain high performance engine needs to run on a, higher revolutions per minute (rpm) once in a while but do this only when necessary.

If you want to save on the air conditioner by switching it off when you are on the highway and rolling down your windows for air, please think twice. The aerodynamics of the cars is made to perform at its optimum with the windows up. Any change like the windows down at high speed will seriously change all this. It actually causes drag, for the car that is. More Car related issue here William's automotive blog.

Bosch 419B ICON Wiper Blade - 19"

Wiper Blade
Customer Review: NO better than any other blade
Other than costing a fortune, I found no difference in this very expensive set of blades than the cheaper ones. Mine are a year old and I have to blast the radio to drown out the rubbing noise. THey leave streaks in the same places the cheaper blades left streaks. The only thing that impressed me was the nerve it took to charge this amount of money for these blades. Sorry, but I calls 'em as I sees 'em.
Customer Review: New era for wipers.
Very sleek and clean design for a wiper blade. cleans window quite well, And looks nice on the car, not bulky and metal like the older wipers.

Arizona is one of the greatest states for recreational vehicles and they truly appreciate all the RV people coming to their state and spending money. Each year almost a million people go to Quartsite Arizona for their annual events. Many snowbirds go down to Yuma Arizona and some people come from as far as Canada and the population of Yuma, swells. It is also fun to watch the United States Marines fly around in their jets to practice there.

Of course the Grand Canyon is unbelievable and that is in northern Arizona. Flagstaff is also a fun town after you are done with the Grand Canyon. Also I recommend going to Sedona Arizona and traveling down Highway 89.

Bullhead City Arizona is right across the river from Laughlin, Nevada and all the casinos and there are many places to park your RV and camp out in Bullhead City and then go across the river to the casinos. Lake Havasu City is a wonderful place to visit and there are several RV parks there as well.

In the Phoenix, Arizona area you will enjoy Scottsdale, Arizona and perhaps you might make it to Globe Arizona and travel up the hill on Highway 60 to Show Low, Arizona. That is some significant scenery and terrain. Of course I like Tucson, Arizona and it is a great place to go to in an RV and you can go to the many museums there including the Pima Air and Space Museum, which is absolutely incredible. Please consider all this in 2006.

The RV Awning

The RV awning is one of those have-to-have accessories that at 3 am, with a howling wind , you may wish you didn't have!

Who can remember the half-dozen or so steps required to lower the thing under these conditions ? Have you ever awakened after that midsummer overnight thunderstorm and your awning is sagging alarmingly? Have you ever tried to empty the hundred or so gallons of water that has collected in that sagging awning ? Trust me when I say that you don't need to go through that "joy " of camping.

The recreational vehicle awning is designed as a sunshade, period. If, perhaps, it starts to sprinkle a bit and also kicks up a mild breeze - don't worry - your RV awning can handle that. But if those dark clouds are building on the horizon and the birds are seeking shelter, then you really should consider rolling up. And you really should consider rolling up, NOW.

Practice rolling up your awning on a calm day until you have the procedure memorized. Then do the same thing while blindfolded, with someone spraying a hose in your face. This will simulate a typical emergency storm take-down. Except for the wind, of course. For this simulation you will need three fairly burly guys, all yanking the awning in a different direction at once. Once you have gone through the preceding exercise, you will understand why the experienced camper will take down the awning at the first sign of trouble.

After being rolled up and possibly damp for several months your awning will appreciate a good airing out and a bath with warm water and a mild detergent. Use a car wash type brush to scrub the surface of both the top and the underside. A little WD-40 on the moving parts helps to free up and protect these components. Dry it thoroughly before re-rolling it.

Lower one end of your open awning to allow rainwater to drain off. Peg down the awning feet when the awning is free standing so that a gust of wind will not flip over the awning. Also, the awning may be strapped down with the special awning straps available at your local RV store. If you suspect a strong wind or storm is coming the safest thing to do is roll up the awning.

Bosch Wiper Blade - 01-01 Ford Escape XLT 4WD L4 2.0

Bosch Wiper Blade - 01-01 Ford Escape XLT 4WD L4 2.0

'Green' is no longer just a colour; it's a way of life. In these days of high fuel prices and global warming, offsetting your carbon footprint and reducing the damage to the environment is high on many people's priorities.

The Government is pushing for more and more filling stations in the UK to offer an LPG pump alongside the usual petrol, diesel and (in some areas) leaded fuel pumps. LPG, an acronym for Liquefied Petroleum Gas, is a high octane fuel distilled from propane and butane. Currently LPG is a UK export (petrol is one of the major imports) but more people are waking up to the fact that running their cars on this cheaper alternative to petrol is a good idea.

Having a petrol car converted to run on LPG involves installing a second tank, usually inside the spare wheel storage space, and fitting a separate nozzle to the side of the car for refuelling. Most LPG cars will start on petrol and switch to burning LPG once the engine gets warm, or at 2,500 rpm. Therefore, it's a good idea to keep some petrol in the tank as well, as a back-up.

Aside from the environmental factor, there are many benefits to driving an LPG car. Firstly, and perhaps the deciding factor for most people, is the cost. Although the initial conversion can be expensive, around 2000 in most cases, it's worth asking around if there are any grants available in your area to help with the cost. Even if there isn't, the amount you'll save after running a car on gas will far outstrip the initial outlay. LPG is less than half the price of petrol at most filling stations, and can result in a smoother, quieter drive with a longer engine life. The resale value of a converted car tends to be higher too, as they are fast becoming more sought-after.

Road tax is another thing to consider. On newer cars, those registered after March 2001, the road tax payable goes by the CO2 emissions rather than the engine size; LPG cars and other alternative fuel vehicles emit less polluting gasses and therefore are cheaper on the road tax. If you live in London you can also escape the congestion charge with an LPG car.

An LPG car is also seen as being safer; the gas is stored in an airtight tank completely separate from the petrol tank and, in the event of a crash, is less likely to be a fire hazard. The engine is also less likely to go wrong mid-drive as LPG actually conditions your engine, making it run better.

Because of this, some insurance companies offer cheap car insurance to LPG cars - it's worth asking your current provider if you could save on your existing car insurance if you have your car converted.

We are always looking for news ways to improve the performance of our snowmobiles. We might customize it by adding new parts that we got at a dealership, or by going out and finding used snowmobile parts from various places.

The internet is one of the places where we can get used parts for our snowmobiles. There are many people who specifically deal with selling refurbished snowmobile parts. These are the more reliable sources as you can search through them and get an idea of how much you are going to spend, and look at different models that are available.

There are many people out there who like to build machines from scratch, even snowmobiles. Being able to purchase used snowmobile parts is a plus for these people. They can get everything they need to build a custom, hybrid snowmobile from scratch. The dealers sell everything needed from edge rail grips, light shields, spring and cam arms and drive belts. You can outfit any model and brand you want from the used parts. You will find parts for Yamaha snowmobiles, Ski Doo Snowmobiles, the arctic cat, scorpion snowmobiles just to mention a few.

Used snowmobile parts aren't bad at all, but it all depends on where you get them from. You find that some dealers will give you say, a 30 day money back guarantee or if you are lucky a warranty that runs out after a certain number of miles. Make sure you get your used parts from a reputable dealer. You don't want your new snowmobile falling apart on you.

Bosch Wiper Blade - 1996-2002 Mercedes Benz SL 600 120.983

Bosch Wiper Blade - 1996-2002 Mercedes Benz SL 600 120.983

Introduced in 1961, the MG Midget is a roadster based on the Austin Healey Sprite, a small British sports car. Originally sporting a 948cc engine, the MG Midget produced 46hp, which was shortly after increased to a capacity just over a litre to increase power to 56hp. Being produced as a relatively cheap sports car like the Sprite, the MG Midget had little features internally, with low costing options for the body too. Windows were Perspex screens, the roof was on a frame which had to be put up by the driver, and there was no outside handles or locks. With the increase in capacity saw the introduction of front disc brakes, from the previous drums.

Upgrades were added to the mark II Midget, with windows and handles added to the model, and the horse power increased to 59. The changes were most welcomed, and more changes were made to the mark III, with a new soft top which a lot easier and quicker compared to the self-assembled roof of the previous Midgets. Rostyle wheels were introduced, with changes to the wheel arches as they become more rounded from the previous squared appearance. Capacity was also increased, with the mark III now sporting a 1300cc Mini Cooper S engine, enhancing the output to 65hp.

With a new 1493cc engine, the MG Midget 1500 is fitted with the Triumph Spitfire engine and Morris Marina gearbox. With the wheel arches now squared like previous versions, the changes were made to meet the U.S regulations in the mid seventies.

Due to the many shared parts with the Austin Healey Sprite, the MG Midget and the Austin Healey Sprite have commonly been labelled as "Spridgets". Popular by collectors and UK club racing, the Spridgets can be entered into the MG Midget challenge, ran by the MG Car Club.

Bosch 416A ICON Wiper Blade - 16"

Wiper Blade
Customer Review: where the rubber meets the road
For more than 30 years, I've searched high and low for the perfect wiper blade. Being a little tiny bit obsessive about my car, one of the things I can NOT tolerate is a chattering, noisy, smeary, streaky wiper blade. Driving in the rain is hard enough without feeling like you're trying to look through a wax-paper windshield. In the past, I'd put new wiper blades on my car two or three times a year and sometimes more, just to make sure I never had to deal with wiper smear or worse, wiper chatter. That sound is like fingernails on a blackboard to me!! I'd also clean the rubber edge several times between blade changes, to keep the leading edge clean and free from debris and gooey tree gunk and junk. Due to my desire to keep the finest quality blades on the car, I'd only buy authentic Toyota blades for my 2003 Camry and then one day... An associate at the local Toyota dealer talked me into buying the rubber inserts for the blades, rather than the whole blade assembly. For 20 minutes, I waited and watched as she fiddled around trying desperately to get the inserts into the arm assembly. Two days later (and 10 minutes of use later), while driving in a light rain storm, the whole thing came apart in pieces, scratching my windshield in the process. It was a Sunday afternoon (dealer was closed), so I drove directly to the auto parts store and told them I wanted the most expensive wiper-blade they sold. They took me to the Bosch Icon and said, "these are the best, but they're pricey." I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and performance of this product. The two blades I bought for Cammie cost less than $50 which isn't THAT much contrasted against the frustration of not being able to see clearly through the windshield when it rains. April 2008 UPDATE: I am on my second pair of Bosch Icons and I'm saddened to say that I am no longer "raving" about these things. While they're just swell for the first 60 days, they deteriorate quickly after that and become streaky and smeary. When I was buying wiper blades for my daughter's car, I asked the auto parts guy about the Bosch Icon. He replied, "I'm not that impressed with them either. They don't last long."
Customer Review: Great product
I've always been a fan of Bosch. This is my first ICON product and so far it works really well. No streaks and cleans perfectly. After installing it, it does look a little weird because unlike conventional blades it doesn't have the supporting arms anymore. It's just like a thick piece of rubber that hugs your windshield. As advised it definitely fits very snuggly. I just installed it about a week ago so hopefully it will last as long as my other ones did (2 years).

When upgrading your Honda Civic, there are three basic things most people would like to do to gain performance, style, and looks. The first is a body kit. Next, most people want to add personalization to the interior. Last, we want to talk about engine modifications. These upgrades you may want to do in any particular order, depending on your personality. I started with my engine. I want my car to be a sleeper. When I add a body kit, then Ill have the muscle to back it up. But it all depends on you. Lets start with the body kit for your Honda Civic.

If you have a pre-1988 Honda Civic, body kits were made, but they are hard to find. There really wasnt much of an internet, so the market was limited to larger cities or Japan. Today, you could search for a used Mugen kit and probably find one on the internet. For later Civics, there are a couple of good choices. Stillen and Greddy offer quality components. When purchasing bargain components, remember you may have to modify the kit for proper alignment. For example, the exhaust may not be exactly in the right spot. Rework time to your Civic may end up costing you as much as a higher quality kit. Ive looked at the kits you can buy a piece at a time due to my budget. Adding the front air dam to keep the car on the ground, side skirts and a rear valance all at once can be a little imposing on the pocketbook.

Interior modifications may not impress anyone as you drive down the street, but if the car looks good on the outside, youll want that Civic sharp on the inside. A torn seat or other imperfections are a good place to start. Most people start with the radio. But if you have a newer Civic or Accord and the radio is already pretty good, what can you do to add your own style? Add some gauges. You can add a pillar mount gauges the A-frame that supports the roof. A company called Lotek makes nice gauge pods.

When you add the gauges, now you have interior style and you can keep better check on your motor instead of relying on a red warning light. The first thing to do is get a free flowing intake. Not only do these look good in the engine compartment, but also they help the car breath better. There are several to choose from, but Im biased towards K & N Products. They fit perfectly and are completely washable. Be warned, you can here the engine breathing when you hit the gas! Its so cool!

I hope these gave you a good starting point on what you can do with your Honda Civic, Accord, or Prelude. Personalizing your car makes it your car, not just another Honda.

After having heard and read many horror stories about Jeep 4.0's that don't run after pulling the distributor, I was very careful about installing the distributor in my new Titan Stroker Motor.

The procedure in the factory recommended procedure is surprising simple. Here is my method of implementing the recommended procedure.

Use a 3/4 inch wrench to rotate the engine to the zero degree mark on the Damper. This is easier if the electric fan is not in the way. Also, you must ensure that you are on the compression stoke of the engine. One way to ensure this is to watch the motion of the valves and make sure that you are using the mark just after the intake valve closes.

Another note: If you damper is old, this is a good time to make sure it is not twisted by checking that the engine really is at TDC when the damper lines up with the mark.

With the cap on the distributor, scribe a line just to the left on the number one terminal. Transfer this line down onto the metal distributor housing. On the Renix version, it will be near where the wires come out.

Use a screwdriver to set the slot in the oil pump drive to 11 O'Clock.

Now take the distributor cap off. Eyeball the mounting tang over the mounting bolt hole in the block. Pick up the gasket you just dropped and put it back on.

Set the rotor to point to about 4 O'Clock. This will be a bit to the right of your mark.

Lower the distributor in to the hole and allow it to engage the camshaft drive gears. The rotor will turn as the gears engage. When it hits bottom, the rotor should be pointing at the mark you made earlier. If not, try again.

Put the mounting clamp on and tighten the bolt.

From the stories I have heard, the computer will not work if the distributor indexing is off even one gear tooth. By using this procedure, yours will be right. Check off another item from your list of Jeep Cherokee motor problems.

Bosch Wiper Blade - 00-06 Ford Focus ZX3 L4 2.0

The Ford Model T celebrates its 100th birthday this year, marking a new age for travel and success across the world. Many folks will be able to see a special parade unit featuring the Model T in America's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which will take place on November 27th in Detroit, Michigan.

Henry Ford launched the first Model T on October 1, 1908, making it the first mass-produced car of its kind. Since that initial car came off of the line, Ford put out 15 million more over the course of the next 19 years. The Model T remained one of the most popular and purchased cars until production ended on May 26, 1927.

During the America's Thanksgiving Parade, the 19 Model Ts will represent the 19 years that the car was in production. Each of these Model Ts was sold for $825 in its day, making it a truly universal car, as was Henry Ford's vision. As a sort-of two-door roadster, the car made a name for itself by being able to power through even the deepest mud and toughest of storms.

Still, though the price was considered low and the vehicle considered powerful, Ford continued to refine the car's capabilities on the assembly line. By 1921, more than 57 percent of the automobiles in production were Model Ts.

Currently, Ford still works hard to be on the leading edge of technology and advancement in the automotive industry. Its newest line-up of cars feature EcoBoost engines, which offer fuel-efficient powertrains, and also provides some of the world's smallest cars on the market.

The company is still based in Michigan, though it has moved over to Dearborn. Ford cars can be found on six continents around the world and are made from 90 plants worldwide by more than 229,000 employees.

Bosch 3397118979 Aerotwin Original Equipment Replacement Wiper Blades - Set 24"/19"

There are a lot of different kinds of cars out there, but most of them have the same steps to changing their brake pads. Today we are going to talk about how to change brake pads on the most popular Toyota cars. A lot of people do not like to spend the money to get their Toyota Highlander some new brakes, because it costs a lot to go to a shop to do that. However, when you are driving something like a Highlander, you want to keep the brakes in tip top shape. That is why it could be a good idea to learn how to do it yourself. The brake pads are not the easiest thing to change on a car, but most of the time, people seem not to have too hard of a time with it.

Steps to Changing Your Toyota Brake Pads

First of all, you need to jack up your car, and make sure that it is supported. This is because you are going to have to take your wheels off to be able to change out your brake pads. The first thing you will need to do is to take a screwdriver and remove your wheel cover. If you do not have a hub cap, then you can move on. After taking off the cover, you will need to take your wheel off by using your lug wrench. Most of the time, cars will come with this. After doing this, you will notice that your caliper, as well as your brake rotor, are now exposed.

From here you can take out the pins or the bolts using your socket wrench. After doing this, you can simply lift the caliper off and away from your brake rotor. Please note that you should not allow the caliper to just hang by its rubber brake hose. Doing this can cause a lot of damage to your caliper. At this point, you may want to inspect your rotors to see if they need to be replaced as well. Check for cracks, as well as any kind of gouges, that could be in it. After checking that, you will want to remove the worn out brake pads from the caliper, which you have not left hanging, right? You will need to remove both of the brake pads that are on the caliper. One is called the inboard and one is called the outboard.

After removing the worn out pads you can put the new ones on. You have to be sure to install the pads on the correct side of the caliper. A good way to tell if you are putting them on the right side is to check to make sure that your outboard is the pad that has a wear sensor on it. This is the thing that sounds really bad whenever your brake pads are almost gone. After putting them on the right side, then you can add back in the clips and all the pins. Sometimes it can be hard to get the pad into place. Do not be afraid to wiggle it into place if you have to. Then you simply just reverse everything that you did. Put back on your rotor if you took it off, and then reinstall your caliper to its mount spot. Make sure everything is tightened and secure as well.

Finishing the Job

After doing all of that, you can put your wheel back on and tighten it securely. Then put your wheel cover back on and lower your car down to the ground. Before you start driving, it is a good idea to turn your car on and pump your brakes a few times to reset your calipers piston. When it is fully set, you will notice that the brake will become harder to press. When you first go to press it, you may notice that it is very lose feeling and your foot goes all the way to the floor. However, after a few good pumps on the brake pedal, you should be good to go.

Radiators, as the name suggests, are devices that radiate heat. These heat-exchanging devices can be found in automobiles, buildings and electronics. This device is designed to transfer heat from the water that flows through it, to the air blown through it by the fan.

Often, a radiator is made of a long copper or aluminum tube, bent several times to form a rectangular shape. Numerous small aluminum fins surround the tube. The aluminum draws heat from the warm cooling fluid inside the tube. Once the fins are heated, they release heat into the air, cooling the engine. The radiator has a neck that ends in a cap. The liquid coolant, usually a mixture of water and ethylene glycol, is added through this cap. The cap, known as the pressure cap, keeps the pressure under control. Once a predetermined level of pressure is reached, the cap gives way, releasing the pressure to prevent any sort of explosion.

The flow of the liquid coolant determines the actual cooling capacity of the radiator. In some models, the aluminum tubes have a type of fin inserted into them, known as a turbulator. This increases the turbulence of the fluid and in the process, increasing the cooling capacity of the radiator.

A radiator must be well maintained to ensure it performs its function properly. The liquid coolant must be regularly monitored and care should be taken that it is not completely depleted. As the coolant keeps cycling through the equipment, it does not require changing on a daily basis. Care should be taken to ensure that the flow of the coolant is not hampered by any obstruction. Regular cleaning of the radiator will prevent overheating and avoid any major accidents.

Each different type of radiator, whether automobile, building or electronic, has its own limitations and this should be kept in mind while using or servicing them. Proper care and maintenance of the radiator will ensure that the device works well.

Radiators provides detailed information on Radiators, Car Radiator, Radiator Cover, Automotive Radiator and more. Radiators is affiliated with Patio Heaters.

Bosch 40919 19-Inch Excel Micro Edge Wiper Blade

Wiper Blade
Customer Review: Couldn't be any easier...
I am surprised to see the other review of this product. I can't imagine the illustrations being any better. Very Lego-like in that it is good for all languages. Everything including opening the package can be done with no tools. The wipers themselves can only (other than mail order) be found only at Advance Auto Parts in this country - and they are vastly superior to other wipers in the US market, sometimes lasting two years in the greater Boston area - unheard of for Aanco or others.
Customer Review: Installation not as DIY as it should be
Installation of these blades is not straightforward--three adapter pieces and a pin are included, which might work well enough, but the instructions provided with the product could not be more of a joke. I'll be returning to the store and asking one of their employees (at Kragen) to install all three blades (they're nice enough there, if you're willing to wait). In the future, I won't be buying this product when I need new blades. I don't mind a bit of complication in installing stuff like this, but the instructions should be adequate to the task, and they're really not.

The motor home you own represents more than a status symbol. It is something you have worked hard for with everything possible, and it enables you to become free and go away from the bustle and stress of an ordinary life. It's a great way to view the countryside and experience facets of American life that many tourists often miss out on. Sometimes, just knowing that you can climb into your motor home and escape from your harried life for a few days is enough to reduce your levels of stress.

You are especially lucky if there is enough space on your property to store your motor home. Your RV is always available for you to use. Whenever you get the notion, it will carry you away on a lighthearted trip with all the comforts of home. If kept sheltered from the elements, your RV will be cleaner, both inside and out, and will be ready to roll with minimal preparation when opportunity knocks. So is it a good idea to have a shelter for your motor home? The most likely answer is positive and resounding.

A shelter made from vinyl tarps strapped to metal pipes would be your least expensive option but would provide only a minimum amount of protection. Unfortunately, this method would not protect your RV from dampness and mildew, or even homeless critters, and your neighbors might not like the cheap appearance it presents. You could have a personalized garage built for your motor home that matches the style of your home and neighborhood very affordably.

Select a company with experience in building sheds and garages. Make sure that they can build one in a style that will accentuate your home. You can have your garage built entirely to your specifications, whether you like stucco with a tiled roof, siding with a shingled roof, Tudor, traditional, or Victorian style; mix and match to make it your own. A quality, custom-built garage that complements your home and fits in with the neighborhood will look fantastic, last for years, and add value to your property.

A style that has recently been growing in popularity is the livery style RV garage. This style is tall in the center, having side wings on one or both sides which are shorter in length, enabling you to create additional space for entirely different purposes. The structure can be left as one, big open space or the side wings can be partitioned off and finished to serve as a workshop, home office, or even guest accommodations, creating extra living space for your family. This style fits in well in equestrian communities.

Whatever style you ultimately choose, your most crucial decision will be selecting the company that will build your garage. Choose a firm with experience and excellent customer service; also be sure that the building will be built on site and not prefabricated in a factory. A reputable firm will have a professional, knowledgeable staff and will provide you with testimonials from satisfied customers and photos of their work. They will also offer you a warranty. Once you locate the right firm to construct the shelter for your motor home, the hard part will be over.

When Rochelle Steelsen bought an RV, she wanted a California rv garage to store it in that blended in with her neighborhood. She called Quality Sheds, a California outdoor sheds company, and was able to get a custom rv garage with beautiful architectural aesthetics. When you can't tell it's a shed, you know you've hired the right company.

Rain-X Latitude Premium Graphite Coated Beam Wiper Blade 22" + Cleaning Kit

Rain-X Latitude wiper blades are designed with a new curved-blade technology and low profile, aerodynamic frame with built-in spoiler to prevent wind lift, reduce drag and noise. Because the frame is encased in rubber, exposed metal components are eliminated and so is ice and snow build-up. This feature also increases wiper blade flexibility and adherence, so the wiper blade hugs the windshield, even in harsh winter conditions.Rain-X Latitude wiper blades consistently deliver a smooth, clean, chatter-free wipe through its contoured design, that applies even pressure along the entire blade length. They are made with chloroprene rubber, which is harder, stronger, more durable and more thermal resistant than natural rubber. The blade is also graphite-coated to reduce friction and increase adhesion to the windshield. Rain-X Latitude wiper blades are the clear choice for winters!*Free Rain-X Wipes are not included with every individual blade purchase. The Free wipes will be sent with each ORDER. Orders may contain unlimted amounts of wipers.

On the whole, motorcycle owners put more love and care into their machines
than do owners of cars or trucks. That "love and care" directly translates into
hundreds of dollars spent on customizations and maintenance. Sadly, between
30,000 to 50,000 bikes are stolen each year in the United States alone (based on
theft rates from 2000 through 2005). And to think, many of these thefts could have
been prevented with a little common sense and security.

Common Sense This should go without saying, but don't leave the keys in
the ignition or the motor running when you're not on the bike! Never leave your
bike in a dimly lit, hard to see location. Put the bike in your locked garage when you
are at home.

Locks and Chains One item every bike owner should purchase is a thick
U-lock or chain that can be easily spotted by anyone, day or night. This is a must-
have, unless its so big that it's impossible to tote around with you. Simply wrapping
your chain through a wheel and your bike frame is not enough -- you have to
mount the bike to a sturdy pole or clamp mounted in concrete. If the bike isn't
mounted to a stationary object, a thief could just pack up your bike in a truck and
drive away.

Electronic Alarms Most modern bikes (larger than a scooter) have some
form of factory immobilization that prevents casual theft, but such immobilizers
alone won't stop a determined thief. It's therefore best to consider an electronic
security system, often called an "alarm." A good alarm system does more than just
make noise, it has circuitry that prevents false triggers, adds secondary points of
immobilization, and sounds a loud siren only when a threat against your bike is real.
Some have digital tilt sensors, shock sensors and other sensors that trip the system
into action. One excellent electronic alarm from Japan is the CYCLONE 866F:
www.kiramek.com. The Japanese manufacturer of Cyclone also offers a 1-way
paging system that instantly alerts you when a threat occurs. The system is also
claimed to be very low-power, eliminating worry of your battery being drained.

Two-way Paging Alarms Over the last 3 years, some electronic alarms
have begun to include 2-way pagers. These systems allow you to both control the
alarm and receive notification of threats. Unfortunately, battery life for many of
these two-way pagers is limited to about 1 month, and the pagers
themselves can be easily broken by a simple fall from your pants pocket. Two-way
systems also may drain a bike's battery quickly unless you ride it daily. Even so, for
some people the convenience aspect may outweigh the negatives for some bike
owners.

Tracking Systems As of 2005, some companies have come out with GPS
tracking systems for bikes that allow a stolen bike to be traced. While tracking
systems do have merits over other types of security, there are three important
downsides that must be considered: (1) battery drain on the bike, (2) service area
(tracking) coverage, and (3) monthly cost.

Most tracking systems require you to pay not only for the product itself but also
each and every month to keep the "service contract" alive. The long term cost of
tracking systems may leave a bad taste in the mouth of the average bike owner.
Think about how much you already pay per month (phone bill, mobile phone,
internet, etc.) and you can see why tacking on another subscription is cost
prohibitive.

LoJack is one tracking system manufacturer who does not charge any monthly fees,
but their least expensive bike system runs $595 and traceability is limited to the
coverage area of wireless towers installed by LoJack and some police stations. Once
your LoJack "protected" vehicle exits the coverage area, its off the map and not
traceable. Of course, LoJack will refund the price of the product, but that refund
doesn't replace your bike. Nor does that refund cover any special installation fees
you might have paid or any insurance deductible you might have.

Conclusion Use a layered approach to security. Common sense dictates
that you put your bike in a location that is not an obvious target for thieves. You'll
then need a chain or U-lock to prevent casual theft. And lastly, even if your bike
has a factory immobilizer, the addition of an electronic alarm or tracking system will
act as a significant deterrent to theft.

Traveling by snowmobile has been determined to be the best mode of transport, when moving around in the snow. Snowmobiles aren't covered; they are like motorbikes on skis. Because of the cold weather and the high speeds, one needs to be well protected from the cold weather.

There is a lot of snowmobile gear out in the market, from the very basic to designer wear that costs an arm and a leg. We'll take a look at what you need to have on when getting on a snowmobile. Snowmobile gear for starters you will need warm clothes. Most people recommend layering the special gear with regular warm clothes, such as sweat pants or thermals. The outer gear you get should be both warm and waterproof to protect you from the snow as it falls.

The wind chill is also very high when you are riding and you will need to keep as warm as possible. The reflection from the sun is very high, especially the sun on snow. It's recommended you wear protective lenses or goggles. Go for a pair of yellow lenses. They keep reflection at a minimum. The next important item of clothing is a pair of bibs, or snowmobile pants. You have to ensure these are of top quality and waterproof. Make sure they are comfortable and see if you can get a pair that you can wear over sweat pants.

Pick a pair of snow boots that is hardy, long lasting and waterproof. They should also be able to keep your feet warm. It is important to take time to find good quality snowmobile gear to reduce exposure to the elements. This way, you can prevent hypothermia and in extreme cases frostbite from occurring.
